Ziang (Debbie) Song

Debbie (Ziang) Song is a Research Assistant in the Kang Lab with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. She earned her degree in Biochemistry from Vanderbilt University and has developed extensive experience in a range of molecular and cellular techniques. Her work in the lab focuses on cell culture, molecular biology, gene therapy, and antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) research, contributing to the development of innovative therapeutic approaches for epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Debbie is a dedicated and enthusiastic researcher who enjoys exploring new techniques and contributing to collaborative research projects. Outside the lab, she expresses her creativity through drawing and painting and enjoys singing, bringing a balance of scientific curiosity and artistic interests to her work and life.
